Biography
Vice Chancellor's Fellow, Department of History (Historical Studies), University of Bristol. Hong Kong-born and raised, Dr Vivian Kong received her BA and MPhil degrees from the University of Hong Kong. In 2015, she moved to Bristol for her doctoral study. Since then, Vivian has taken a leading role in the Hong Kong History Project, a research initiative at Bristol, where she organises the Project’s public-facing activities. She completed her PhD in 2019, and now holds a Vice-Chancellor’s Fellowship in Hong Kong History at Bristol. She has published on interwar Hong Kong’s civil society and identity politics, and is completing a book that explores the engagements that colonial Hong Kong’s multiracial population made with Britishness. |
