Equality and Diversity in Uncertain Times: Solidarity within and beyond the LGBTQ+ Community In times of increasing global uncertainty, the pursuit of equality and diversity has apparently been superseded by concerns on public health and economic fluctuations. The pandemic has not only stymied the progression of LGBTQ+ activism, but also left many socially marginalised groups unsupported. Lockdown measures in many countries have aroused a mental health crisis among sexual minorities. There are also reports of delayed medical diagnosis because of social stigmas surrounding sexuality. Discussions on equality and diversity are important to address these inequalities. Under this context, what are the best ways to connect individuals within and beyond the community of sexual minorities? How can Hong Kong engage with the wider global LGBTQ+ community to advance equality and diversity? We address these issues by engaging Hong Kong with the wider global dialogue of diversity and sexual community building. Speakers
