Biography

Yi-Ling Liu is a non-fiction writer. Her work on Chinese technology, society and culture has been published in The New York Times Magazine, Harper's Magazine, WIRED, The New Yorker and others. She writes a column for Rest of World, and is currently working on a book about the Chinese internet. She is a New America Fellow, an Overseas Press Club Scholar, a visiting scholar at the NYU Carter Journalism Institute, and a graduate of Yale University.
